Which data, why and for how long

Signing up for the Agent Logbook and Mission Pack

On the Dutch page for De Breinrovers you can leave your email address. We use it only for what is stated at sign-up: you receive the Agent Logbook and Mission Pack #1 straight away, followed by three short emails about De Breinrovers over the next two weeks. This sign-up does not add you to a general newsletter or offers for other books; for that we always ask separately.

The legal basis is your consent. When you sign up, we record when and through which form you did so, so that we can demonstrate your consent: the date, the form and the IP address of the sign-up. Every email contains a link to unsubscribe.

Retention: for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address with the unsubscribe status, so that you receive no further email from us. If you want that removed as well, email us.

The form is meant for parents and carers; we do not ask for children's data.

Contact by email

If you email us, for example with a question or to request a review copy, we use your name, email address and message only to handle your request.

Retention: until your request has been handled, and then for no longer than twelve months for any follow-up questions. Data we are legally required to keep, such as invoices, is kept for seven years.

Visiting the website

On every visit, our hosting provider processes technical data, such as your IP address and browser, to deliver and secure the site. We do not use analytics cookies or trackers, and we do not build visitor profiles.

Op Orde-Score self-test and the four emails

The Dutch-language self-test at Op Orde-Score runs entirely in your browser. Your answers and score are not sent or stored.

Below the result you can choose to sign up for four short emails, each with one practical step. The last email also tells you about the workbook Digitaal op Orde. For this we keep only your first name and email address. Signing up does not add you to a general newsletter or to offers for other books.

The legal basis is your consent. Here too we record the date, the form and the IP address of the sign-up, and every email contains an unsubscribe link. Retention: as long as you are subscribed; after unsubscribing, only your email address with the unsubscribe record.

Who we share data with

We do not sell data and do not share it with anyone else.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website sets no cookies of its own. Fonts are served from our own server; your browser does not contact Google Fonts.

The sign-up form on the De Breinrovers page loads only after you click Toon het aanmeldformulier (Show the sign-up form). Only then:

If you do not click, nothing is loaded from MailerLite or Google.

In our emails, MailerLite records whether a link is clicked, so we can see whether the emails arrive and are useful. For this, links pass through a MailerLite server. We do not use this for any other purpose. We do not track whether you open an email.

The sign-up below the Op Orde-Score self-test loads nothing from MailerLite or Google and sets no cookies. Your first name and email address are sent to MailerLite only when you click Stuur me de vier mails (Send me the four emails).

Links to other sites

The Agent Logbook and Mission Pack #1 are downloaded from our own website. No data is shared with anyone else in the process.

If you buy a book through Amazon, Payhip, Brave New Books or Boekenbestellen.nl, that company's privacy policy applies.

Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email [email protected]; we reply within one month. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
